Accessibility Statement
Our commitment
Steven C. Fraser, P.A. is committed to ensuring that stevenfraser.com is accessible to people with disabilities. We work to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and we treat web accessibility as an ongoing responsibility — not a one-time project.
Measures we take
- Semantic HTML5 landmarks (
<header>,<main>,<nav>,<footer>) and a skip-to-content link on every page. - Keyboard-accessible navigation with visible
:focus-visibleindicators throughout. - Color contrast tested against WCAG AA thresholds; body text and interactive controls meet or exceed 4.5:1.
prefers-reduced-motionsupport — animations and reveals are disabled when the operating system requests reduced motion.- All form fields have visible labels bound with
for/idattributes. - Decorative icons are marked
aria-hidden="true"; informative content is exposed to assistive technology. - Native HTML
<details>/<summary>used for FAQ accordions — fully keyboard- and screen-reader-accessible without custom JavaScript.
Conformance status
We assess this site against WCAG 2.1 AA on each substantive change. The site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA, meaning some content does not yet fully conform. Where we identify gaps, we publish them here and remediate them on a defined schedule.
Known issues currently under review:
- Some legacy blog posts (pre-May 2026) may not yet include the same focus styles or landmark structure as the homepage and recent posts.
- PDF documents linked from blog posts are not yet individually remediated for screen-reader navigation.
